Anderson <br /> The Process Used in Developing This Agenda Item (Who, When, etc. ) <br /> The Community Education Advisory Council appointed a task force to review the <br /> impact the four school closings will have on community and school district usage. <br /> Back$round(If necessary, additional information is attached) <br /> A detailed analysis outlining the actual school gymnasium usage at the four secondary <br /> schools was compiled and then compared to the potential school availability of two, <br /> three and four secondary facilities. The operation and maintenance costs for maintaining <br /> one of the secondary schools on a skeletal basis (i .e. gyms, pool and locker room area) <br /> was contrasted to current costs of operating the sites as educational facilities. In <br /> addition the C.E.A.C. task force outlined surrounding school districts experiences re- <br /> arding secondary school community resource centers and the immediate impact the closing <br /> of four school sites will have on the Cities of Mounds View and Arden Hills .
