Silver View Park Update <br /> Page 2 <br /> March 24, 1982 <br /> • <br /> 3. Sodding of drainage ditch has been completed. <br /> 4. Parking lot is roughed in. <br /> 5. Irrigation system is stubbed in off County Road I . <br /> 6. The pond is 95% completed. <br /> Projects yet to be included are: <br /> 1. Turf establishment <br /> 2. Parking lot completion <br /> 3. Tree plantingIII <br /> 4. Ballfields completed - ag. lime infields and sod outfield. <br /> 5. Complete finish grading <br /> Our current time line is to commence construction in early May. We have <br /> already been in touch with the contractors to ensure that they have scheduled <br /> the project for early Spring with completion of Phase One by August 1, 1982. <br /> City staff has been meeting with two firms regarding the feasibility of contracting <br /> out for maintenance of the park site. Although our discussions are only pre- <br /> liminary at this point as the park is not completed , the discussions have been <br /> fruitful and staff will keep the Commission informed as progress is made. As a <br /> part of the "private maintenance" program we have forwarded a letter to Mary <br /> Anderson (see attached) and Scotland Green to determine if they might be interested. <br /> 111/1 <br /> Two last items of general information are that we have experienced some addition <br /> vandalism of burned hay bales and trees cut down. Staff feels that the vandalis <br /> will be greatly reduced when the park is open for general use and the surrounding <br /> area is developed.
