51 . 03 <br /> i f <br /> (5) Attends various Council meetings as scheduled or <br /> requested to provide the background and/or supporting data required <br /> to make the best possible decisions relating to department needs . <br /> (6) Oversees and evaluates all City forestry activities to <br /> facilitate the development and maintenance of the City 's "green <br /> canopy" . <br /> (7) Attends meetings of City organizations and couunissions <br /> on a regular basis to generate support for department activities and <br /> minimize duplication of effort . <br /> (8) Serves as staff liaison between the Park and Recreation <br /> Commission and the City Council with the goal of increasing citizen <br /> involvement in City decisions relating to provision of park and <br /> recreation programs . <br /> a . Knowledge, skills and abilities . <br /> (1) Thorough knowledge of the planning , scheduling , <br /> g , <br /> 4110 <br /> publicizing and execution of park and recreational programs . <br /> (2) Considerable knowledge of the philosophy and <br /> objectives of public recreation. <br /> (3) Knowledge of public administration and organization <br /> methods and procedures . <br /> (4) Ability to write concise reports . <br />
