The portable buildings , although we did experience major vandalism <br /> at two sites , can function as a possible inexpensive alternative. <br /> Staff would recommend that the Park Commission outline a list of minimum criteria <br /> or establish a policy statement which best reflects their position regarding the <br /> current building status. Items that could be included are: <br /> 1. Review past action regarding the status of existing buildings. <br /> 2. Outline criteria for constructing new buildings: <br /> a. Building materials <br /> b. Utilities Provided: 1. Plumbing <br /> 2. Electricity <br /> c. General cost range <br /> d. Pre-fab , etc. 11111 <br /> 3. Building usage or function: <br /> a. Skating <br /> b. Summer playgrounds <br /> c. Picnicing <br /> d. Neighborhood meetings <br /> e. Cross country skiing <br /> 4. Establish both long and short range goals : <br /> a. Develop a building program, i .e. one year <br /> b. Future referendum <br /> c. Use of portable buildings <br /> 5. Contacts with other park user: <br /> a. Softball teams <br /> b. Lake Region Hockey <br /> c. Summer baseball <br /> Staff would envision that a preliminary draft be established at Thursday's meeting <br /> with a follow up in March. <br />
