memorandum TO: 1982 Prospective Mounds View Slow-Pitch Managers FROM: Mounds View Parks and Recreation Department The 1982 Softball season is approaching rapidly. To meet your many requests and give you an opportunity to be aware of the leagues available this year, a brief description of the program is attached. MANAGERS - PLEASE HAVE A TEAM MEETING AND REVIEW THIS ENTIRE LETTER TO CLARIFY CHANGES AND ANSWER QUESTIONS PRIOR TO YOUR LEAGUE 'S REGISTRATION DEADLINE. General Information: Special Notice: Metal spikes shall be prohibited in all Mounds View Slow-Pitch Divisions. Eligibility: Each player on each roster of competitive teams wanting to advance to State Tournament if eligible, will have to prove their eligibility by one of the following two methods at our office, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m, - 4:30 p.m. This includes all teams; first year, seventh year, "Over-35" , Men' s and Women 's Competitive, Co-Rec, Sr. Boys and Sr. Girls. All teams registered with the City of Mounds View must comply with the certification procedure - NO EXCEPTIONS. S THE FOLLOWING TWO DATES HAVE BEEN SET UP IN ADDITION TO NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS FOR PLAYER CERTIFICATION : SATURDAY, APRIL 3, 10:30AM - NOON MOUNDS VIEW CITY HALL 2401 HIGHWAY 10 THURSDAY, APRIL 22 4:30 - 6:30PM MOUNDS VIEW CITY HALL 2401 HIGHWAY 10 CERTIFICATION DEADLINE: APRIL 30 A. Residence Certification 1 . Exhibit a valid permanent Minnesota Driver's License (no temporary licenses accepted) . B. Employment Certification - Participant must be employed full time (standard work week) . 1. Exhibit a valid permanent Minnesota Driver's License (no temporary licenses accepted) . • 2. Exhibit a payroll check stub or W-2 form dated prior to employment deadline with name and address of employee and employer. Summer employment is no longer a basis of eligibility for college students.
