Anderson, Dir'• <br /> Parks , Recreation an ,Fo, •s i� <br /> DATE: November 19 , 1981 <br /> RE: Finish grading change order <br /> Enclosed is a letter dated November 2, 1981 regarding a change order for the <br /> finish grading of Silver View Park. As you 're aware , we experienced a number <br /> of problems relating to the grading of Silver View Park because of the shortage <br /> of material . <br /> 111/0 <br /> To date the City Council has approved two orders for Silver View. The first <br /> change order was for 52 ,500.00 for hauling fill in from the Kraus/Anderson <br /> property. The actual change order totaled $2 ,160.00, a reduction of $340.00. <br /> A second change order of $1 ,700.00 was approved for sodding the drainage swail <br /> by the Council on November 16, 1981 . The actual costs following re-negotiations <br /> will be $1 ,375.00. Total cost of the two change orders to date are $3 ,535.00. <br /> Staff is now requesting a third chanae order of S3,260.00 for the re-grading <br /> of the site due to the shortage of fill . The estimate for the additional work <br /> was submitted for $7 ,200.00 which Saurrier$/Thalden and Associates re-negotiated with <br /> W.J. Ebertz to $3 ,260.00. <br /> The work has been satisfactorily completed to date with the understanding by <br /> W. J . Ebertz and company that the Council would need to formally approve any <br /> expenditures . (see attached letter. ) <br /> As the finish park grading changed considerably from the intial plan , staff would <br /> 111/1 <br /> recommend that the second change order totaling $3 ,260.00 be approved for payment to <br />
