You responded indicating that Jon Blackstone and your-
self were planning on coaching a girls team in our program.
I then responded with a second letter dated April 21, 1981 to Mr. Jon Blackstone
indicating that our department would not accept your "hand selected" team in our
Jr. Girls league as they were too old for our Jr. Girls league. The eligibility
for our Jr. Girls league is girls in grades 7 - 9 as of September, 1981 .
Following my letter dated April 21 , 1981, you registered your team for the Senior
Girls league on April 23, 1981 listing yourself as coach of the "Flyers" softball
team. As of April 23, 1981 your team was registered and sanctioned through the state
as a Sr. Girls softball team.
Our department then sponsored a playoff for the Sr. Girls league to determine which
Sr. Girls team would be entered in the State Tournament. As you' re aware, your team
did not win the playoffs a Steve Paynes team was sent to the State Tournament.
