MEMO TO: PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
FROM: MARY SAARION, DIRECTOR
DATE: APRIL 20, 1995
SUBJECT: ON-STREET TRAILWAY LANES
Currently no parking signs are on the south side of Hillview
Road. The signs were placed there at the request of homeowners
who did not like cars parking on their grass. The bike lane
symbol could be marked on this no parking area of the road,
except that it is on the opposite side of the both Greenfield and
Hillview Parks and Northside Christian School. I do not know
what the thoughts are of the homeowners to date. The times that
I have driven down Hillview Drive, no cars have been parked along
the road on either side. However, during summer youth
softball/baseball, soccer, ice skating, etc. cars park on the
north side (park side) of Hillview Dr. We would have a problem
if both sides were marked no parking because Hillview Park does
not have a parking lot and relies on on-street parking.
Let' s plan on further discuss regarding on-street bikelanes at
the meeting on April 27 . If you have a chance, drive down
Hillview Dr. so that you have it clearly in your mind. 411
411
