Our amazing results were in great part due to the Miracle Equipment waterslide. In reviewing our total attendance with other communities, we experienced a much high attendance. The reason for our attendance success is directly related to our 208' water- slide. There never was a time during our open hours that there wasn' t a line of people waiting to take the exciting ride. It looks like we will need another waterslide soon to accommodate all of those waiting patrons. • Our total attendance for the Aquatic Center for this year was 90,038. The number of waterslide rides came to 211,722 for the 98 days we were open. This is an average of 2,160 rides per day. On August 28th we had 3,145 riders , which was our highest for one day. I couldn' t believe our popularity. We had busloads of people from as far away as LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Rochester, Minnesota, who came to our facility and used the waterslide. Needless to say, it helped our attendance and our over- all revenues. The people continually comment on how great the slide looks and the fun they have on it. The nice feature, from my point of view, is the lack of injuries on such a heavily-used piece of equipment. We had only three minor injuries in the 211 ,722 rides. In closing, Bob, I want to thank you and Miracle Recreation Equipment for the professionalism and service over the past 23 years that I have been with the Winona Park Rec Department, and especially for introducing Winona to a first class waterslide system.
