Staff <br /> also indicated that there were a number of <br /> residents calling to request a bridge accross <br /> the pond, which wouldalleviate walking behind <br /> the single family homes, as well as complet- <br /> ing the trail loop.The Commission agreed that <br /> the Phase II grant for Silver View Park was a <br /> necessary improvement to the City' s park sys- <br /> tem. <br /> GREENFIELD PARK UPDATE Staff reviewed correspondence that was for- <br /> warded to the abutting property owners of <br /> Greenfield Park and indicated that the time- <br /> frame for the site was currently behind <br /> scheduled but that all of the initial ground- <br /> work and planning has been completed. Staff <br /> then reviewed the written report regarding <br /> additional bid proposals for projects that <br /> could be completed due to the favorable bid <br /> by Midwest Asphalt. The four proposed pro- <br /> jects are as follows : <br /> 1 . Additional car parking lot with <br /> concrete curb and gutter at the <br /> corner of Hillview and Quincy $2, 600 <br /> 4111 <br /> 2. Security lighting for tennis <br /> court and parking lot area $3 ,000 <br /> 3. Horseshoe courts to be con- <br /> structed at the corner of <br /> Hillview and Quincy $8 , 000 <br /> 4 . Additional trail loops <br /> based on 1 ,850 lin .ft. at <br /> $3.00/1in . ft. $5, 550 <br /> Staff further indicated that with each of the <br /> proposed modifications, we would still be <br /> within the $180 ,000 budget. <br /> Follow general discussion of the Greenfield <br /> Park plan , a motion was made by Chairperson <br /> Burmeister , seconded by Commissioner Linnell <br /> to direct staff to develop an RFP and/or work <br /> with the consultant to establish bid specifi- <br /> cations for the four additional park projects <br /> as outlined. The motion passed unanimously: <br /> 7 ayes , 0 nayes. <br />
