-3- <br /> 0. <br /> DISCUSSION OF TASK <br /> FORCE AND PARK FUNDING <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> 1111 <br /> Staff reviewed the memorandum regarding the <br /> establishment of a task force for park fund- <br /> ing alternatives. The memo outlines specific <br /> criteria that the task force would deal with <br /> as well as timeframes. The Commission <br /> reviewed the task force and a motion was made <br /> by Chairperson Burmeister , seconded by Com- <br /> mission Weflen , to establish a task force to <br /> review park funding alternatives in concept. <br /> The motion passed unanimously, 5 ayes, 0 <br /> nayes. Staff indicated they would begin <br /> securing individuals for the task force <br /> immediately and would report back at the May <br /> Commission meeting . <br /> REVIEW ORDINANCE 52 .03 Staff reviewed Ordinance 52.03 as it relates <br /> to alcohol consumption in the City parks and <br /> indicated that under the new ordinance , con- <br /> sumption of 3 . 2 beer would be allowed in the <br /> parks and sale of 3 . 2 beer would be permitted <br /> by permit by the City Council .The Commission <br /> reviewed the ordinance and indicated they <br /> would like to increase the non-residents fee <br /> for receiving a permit to $200 . The motion <br /> to recommend that 52. 03 be approved with the <br /> 1111 modification of the $200 non-resident fee was <br /> made by Commissioner Bowman , seconded by <br /> Commissioner Long . The motion passed <br /> unanimously, 5 ayes , 0 nayes. <br /> STAFF REPORT Staff indicated that the Public Works re- <br /> organization would take place effective April <br /> 29 , 1985 and that staff felt comfortable with <br /> the proposed restructuring . Staff also <br /> indicated that there was a potential of City <br /> Aquatics Director Thielen taking a new posi- <br /> tion as a teacher in Grand Rapids for the <br /> 1985-86 school year and that more information <br /> would be forthcoming on this issue . <br /> ADJOURNEMENT A motion was made by Commissioner Long , <br /> seconded by Commissioner Linnell to adjourn <br /> the meeting at 9: 25 p.m. The motion passed <br /> unanimously , 5 ayes , 0 nayes. <br /> •- full s ^fitted , <br /> ......_401i il' <br /> -.or /u• <br /> -41111)/a.„ • / ¶, <br /> Bruce K.
