• 1111 Mayor and Council April 10, 1985 Page Two Stipulations we would place on this recommendations are as follows : 1 . An effective date of April. 29, 1985 or as soon thereafter as possible. 2. Place the arrangement on a twelve-month trial period with an evaluation at the end of that period before a final decision is made. 3. The day-to-day supervision of the personnel regularly assigned to Parks Maintenance would be the responsibility of the Public Works Fore- man who would work in close cooperation with the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director and Public Works/Community Development Director, including regular meetings as well as completing monthly work task sheets provided by the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director . 1111 4. The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director would have direct input through the Public Works/ Community Development Director on all personnel issues relating to the Public Works Foreman including evaluation, salary review, disciplinary authority , and authority to provide work direction on all park related issues. 5. The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director would be • solely responsible for submitting recommendations to the Parks and Recreation Commission and City Council for capital improvements for City Parks. 6. The annual parks maintenance equipment capitalital improvement proposals submitted as part of. the long-term financial plan would be annual budget and 1 prepared by the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director and reviewed and approved by the Public Works Foreman and Public Works/Community Development Director . 7. The responsibility for the hiring of all part-time staff personnel assigned to Parks and the coordina- tion of the ,JPTA/MI ED Grants would remain the responsibility c h , Parks, Recreation and Forestry II �t the Director with day-to-day supervision being the responsibility of the Public Works Foreman.
