An effective date of April. 29, 1985 or as soon <br /> thereafter as possible. <br /> 2. Place the arrangement on a twelve-month trial <br /> period with an evaluation at the end of that <br /> period before a final decision is made. <br /> 3. The day-to-day supervision of the personnel <br /> regularly assigned to Parks Maintenance would <br /> be the responsibility of the Public Works Fore- <br /> man who would work in close cooperation with the <br /> Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director and Public <br /> Works/Community Development Director, including <br /> regular meetings as well as completing monthly work <br /> task sheets provided by the Parks, Recreation and <br /> Forestry Director . <br /> 1111 4. The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director would <br /> have direct input through the Public Works/ <br /> Community Development Director on all personnel <br /> issues relating to the Public Works Foreman <br /> including evaluation, salary review, disciplinary <br /> authority , and authority to provide work direction <br /> on all park related issues. <br /> 5. The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director would be <br /> • solely responsible for submitting recommendations to <br /> the Parks and Recreation Commission and City <br /> Council <br /> for capital improvements for City Parks. <br /> 6. The annual parks maintenance equipment capitalital <br /> improvement proposals submitted as part of. the <br /> long-term financial plan would be <br /> annual budget and 1 <br /> prepared by the Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br /> Director and reviewed and approved by the Public <br /> Works Foreman and Public Works/Community Development <br /> Director . <br /> 7. The responsibility for the hiring of all part-time <br /> staff personnel assigned to Parks and the coordina- <br /> tion of the ,JPTA/MI ED Grants would remain the <br /> responsibility <br /> c h , Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br /> II �t the <br /> Director with day-to-day supervision being the <br /> responsibility of the Public Works Foreman. <br />
