MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> • CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> January 3 , 1985 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 6 : 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER Chairperson called the special meeting to <br /> order at 6 : 35 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present : Chairperson <br /> Burmeister; Commissioners Bowman , Silvis and <br /> Long <br /> Commissioners absent : Commissioners Weflen , <br /> Linnel and Letendre . <br /> Councilmembers absent : Councilmember Quick <br /> STAFF INTRODUCTION Staff introduced Mr . Barry Warner and Mr. <br /> Dave Warzala representing Barton-Aschmann and <br /> Associates and provided a brief background <br /> • regarding the concept plans that the <br /> Commission would be reviewing . Staff <br /> indicated that a number of meetings had been <br /> held between staff and our consulting <br /> engineers and that two concept plans had been <br /> developed for the Commission' s review. There <br /> were a number of major changes that were <br /> included with this initial concept plan and <br /> staff reviewed each of them individually. <br /> 1 . The baseball field had to be reduced to <br /> 260 ft . foul lines due to space <br /> limitations. <br /> 2 . Playground equipment was relocated <br /> towards the center of the park. <br /> 3. The entrance road and parking lots were <br /> kept to a minimum due to cost <br /> considerations. <br /> 4 . Staff indicated that we have proposed an <br /> additional bang board and hard court <br /> surface north of the proposed tennis <br /> courts. <br /> 1111 Consulting Engineers Warzala and Warner then <br /> reviewed the plan in detail indicating the <br /> following specific items: <br />
