Commitment to the program from Directors, Park Boards and <br />all Park and Recreation Dept. staff. <br />2. Utilizat.ion of the extensive Healthy People resource file. <br />3. Clearly defi.ni.ne� the Healthy People proe�ram areas that need to <br />be attended to to ensur.e continued participati��n: <br />� <br />-Clearly defined jab descriptions as listed below: <br />-Instructors: hirinc�, evaluatinq, orientation, �rogram materials <br />-Promotion, marketing, articles for brochure, local media, <br />quality, interestinq �7raphics, sound, current health statistics, <br />local media support and informed regularly, contact with local <br />businesses, churches, schools, etc. <br />-Continual assessment and change cognizent with consumer needs. <br />-�uality control, instructors, program materials, graphics, <br />follow-up, publicity. <br />-Advisory council; support, innovations, continual assessment of <br />consumer needs, changing community. <br />-Direct leadership of HP progra;n; director eommizment and <br />coordinator part-time ownership to assure all of the abave. <br />-Support of program supervisors in all a��ccts of the csrogram <br />from facilitating smooth runninq of classes to innovative <br />support.` <br />4. To assure continuation there must be generated sufficient <br />participants �-�nd revenues to enable the program to continue and <br />expand. <br />5. Keep up the mor�entum, Fall 1984 a critical kick-off time. <br />6. Aggressive �romntion, throu,qh recruitment of additional <br />monies and cr�ative marketing strateqies. <br />ROADIILOCKS <br />1. Lack of adequate monies to facilitate quality promotion. <br />2. Lack of su�port and understandinq of the total mission and <br />goals ,by the pr�c�ram supervisors <br />3. Inadeguate, uninsniring orientation of th� instructors of the <br />� HP classes;(theae are our c�reatest resource for continued suPport) <br />this should includc� �-+11 physical activities, specifically the <br />fitness-type'classes. <br />4.
