MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> 41/ STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> October 23, 1986 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 6:30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. <br /> by Chairperson Wayne Burmeister. <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Commissioners Long, <br /> Wuori, Silvis and Chairperson Burmeister. <br /> Commissioners absent: Commissioners <br /> Letendre, Linnell and Weflen. <br /> Staff present: Acting Director Saarion. <br /> AGENDA ADDITIONS Commissioner Wuori requested two agenda <br /> additions: <br /> 1 . Review the Quincy St. and County Road I <br /> signal light controversy. <br /> 2. Review Park and Recreation Commission <br /> member's attendance records. <br /> • CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT None <br /> COUNCILME:MBER'S REPORT None <br /> SOCCER COACHES Six youth volunteer soccer coaches were <br /> introduced and thanked. The coaches present <br /> were: <br /> Tom Kayser, Carl Rasmussen, Christy Smith, <br /> Jim Gmeinder, Paul Farnham and Patti <br /> Hollerung. <br /> Volunteer coaches were presented with <br /> sweatshirts in appreciation of their services. <br /> The coaches offered some suggestions for ne::ct <br /> year's program. These suggested included: <br /> 1. Utilize nine players on the field rather <br /> than seven players. <br /> 2. Play four - 10 minute quarters so that <br /> substitutions can he more easily <br /> implemented. <br /> 3. Fill in small potholes on the Silver View <br /> field. <br /> 4. Implement the roll-in kick rather than <br /> the toss from the side-out in the mite's <br /> division. <br />
