' MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> • STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> May 1 , 1986 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 6 : 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6: 35 p.m. <br /> by Chairperson Wayne Burmeister . <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present : Commissioner Letendre , <br /> Silvis , Long , Wuori & Chairperson Burmeister . <br /> Commissioners absent: Commissioner Weflen and <br /> Linnell . <br /> Councilmembers present: Councilmember Quick <br /> Staff present : Parks and Recreation Director <br /> Anderson, Aquatics Supervisor Rechtzigel <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES The commission reviewed the April 3 meeting <br /> minutes. Commissioner Wuori stated that at <br /> 4110 the April 3 meeting she had reported some <br /> broken glass at Greenfield Park, and that it <br /> was not reflected in the minutes. Commis- <br /> sioner Silvis added that the matter had not <br /> been taken care of . Staff said that it was <br /> on the park maintenance list and would be <br /> taken care of . <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis , <br /> seconded by Commissioner Long to approve the <br /> April 3 , 1986 minutes as corrected. The <br /> motion passed , 5 ayes, 0 nayes. <br /> CHAIRPERSON 'S REPORT There was no Chairperson ' s report <br /> COUNCILMEMBERS REPORT There was no Councilmember ' s report. <br /> INTRODUCTION OF PETE Bruce Anderson introduced Pete Rechtzigel , <br /> RECHTZIGEL, CITY the City Aquatics Supervisor to the Commis- <br /> AQUATICS SUPERVISOR sion. Director Anderson stated that the <br /> AND DISCUSSION OF Aquatics Supervisor position was a full-time <br /> CITY AQUATICS PROGRAM position, shared equally by New Brighton and <br /> Mounds View and gave a brief background of <br /> the hiring process. <br />
