-2-
S
It is our opinion that the future amenity of a library is only
advantageous if it does not negate a current City amenity, namely,
City Hall Park. To swap one popular amenity for another, we IIIbelieve , is not in the best interest of the citizens.
A library is truly a favorable amenity and cooperative leisure
recreational programming potential is exciting. For this reason, we
favor the site of Long Lake Road and Highway 10. We, therefore,
encourage the Council to urge the Library Board to successfully
negotiate for the Phillips 66 location for the future Ramsey County
Library.
Sincerely,
MOUNDS VIEW PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
Wayne Burmeister, Chairperson
Dave Long, Commissioner Frank Silvis, Commissioner
Pam Starr, Commissioner Gary Stevenson, Commissioner
WB/SL
All
.
