However, the instance that Mr. <br /> Kops was referring to occurred early in the <br /> Spring when teams are clamoring for field <br /> space for practices. Staff added that the <br /> department has made an effort to issue permits <br /> for fields that meet the needs of the specific <br /> teams. However, there is the case of pick-up <br /> games and fields not reserved through the <br /> recreation department that are uncontrollable. <br /> PARK TOUR The Commission adjourned for a tour of <br /> Greenfield and Groveland parks. <br /> STAFF REPORT Staff reviewed park projects and recreation <br /> programs including: Community Theater, summer <br /> playgrounds, shelter building painting, <br /> Groveland tennis court lighting plans, Silver <br /> View pathway project, the State Class "C" <br /> Women' s tournament and "Festival in the Park" . <br /> • ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Commissioner Long, <br /> seconded by Commissioner Staff to adjourn the <br /> meeting at 8:05 p.m. Motion passed <br /> unanimously; 5 ayes, 0 nayes. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Mary Saarion, Director <br /> Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br /> MS/sl <br /> • <br />
