01/ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4578 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> Resolution approving the installation of stop signs at Hiliview <br /> Road and Quincy Street as shown on sketch and also giving <br /> direction to the Park and Recreation Commission to do research <br /> and make a recommendation on a possible crosswalk on Hiliview <br /> Road and the parking situation around Oakwood Park. <br /> WHEREAS, at the June 6, 1994 Council Worksession, several residents <br /> from the Hillview/Quincy neighborhood were present to request that <br /> stop signs , park signs and streetlights be installed in their <br /> neighborhood; and <br /> WHEREAS, this request came as a result of two recent accidents in <br /> this area; and <br /> WHEREAS, over 220 residents signed a petition supporting these i <br /> requests; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff was directed to draft a resolution approving the <br /> installation of the stop signs, to be placed as drawn on the <br /> sketch; and <br /> WHEREAS, the resolution was to also direct the Park and Recreation <br /> Commission to research and recommend a solution to crossing <br /> Hillview Road at Quincy Street (as shown on the sketch) and to the <br /> parking situation around the park; and <br /> WHEREAS, the streetlights are scheduled for installation this year <br /> as part of the proactive streetlight installation plan. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that these stop signs be installed <br /> for the safety and welfare of all those who use these streets and <br /> parks and also direct the Park and Recreation Commission to <br /> research and make a recommendation on a possible crosswalk on <br /> Hillview and the parking situation in this area. <br /> Presented this 13th day of June, 1994 . <br /> (SEAL) <br /> Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> 411 <br /> (ATTEST) <br /> Samantha Orduno, City Administrator <br />
