411 OUARTERLY REPORT <br /> PARKS, RECREATION & FORESTRY DEPARTMENT <br /> (July, August, September, 1992) <br /> PARKS: <br /> * During the months of July and August, the Parks crew <br /> continued to provide regular daily maintenance of the parks. <br /> The picnic areas were prepared for reserved picnics, <br /> athletic fields were painted, dragged and lined on a <br /> regulated schedule, programs were facilitated as required <br /> and a major proportion of the time was spent in mowing the <br /> cities ten parks, boulevards and easements. <br /> * During the month of August and September a number of <br /> projects were initiated including: the installation of the <br /> large culvert for Silver View Park, the installation of the <br /> playground at Lambert Park, the installation of a new <br /> heating and air-conditioning unit at Random Park and the <br /> beginning of repairs to the exterior of Random Park <br /> building. <br /> • * Projects which are currently being worked on include the <br /> installation of the culvert for Greenfield Park. <br /> * Projects yet to be done include the installation of a <br /> basketball goal, picnic tables trash receptacles and <br /> security lighting at Lambert Park. Also, the re- <br /> construction of Hillview Hockey rink, partially taken down <br /> because of the Long Lake Road improvement project. <br /> * Two Eagle Projects were assisted and supervised this summer <br /> including the landscaping of Silver View Park horseshoe <br /> courts and the installation of the bleacher slabs at <br /> Lambert, Hillview and Groveland Parks. <br /> • <br />
