PUBLIC HEARING: Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance 1010; <br />21 Amending Title XV Land Usage, Chapter 150 Building Regulations; <br />22 Construction of the Mounds View City Code. <br />23 <br />24 Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council introduce an Ordinance amending <br />25 Title XV Land Usage of Chapter 150 Building Regulations; Construction of the Mounds View <br />26 City Code. He explained this ordinance would allow the city to capture a portion of fees for all <br />27 future plumbing inspections, which would be conducted by Rum River Services. He reported the <br />28 Planning Commission reviewed this ordinance and recommended approval. <br />29 <br />30 Andy Schreder, Rum River Services, introduced himself to the Council noting he previously <br />31 worked as a building official. He explained he now acts as a designated building official for 16 <br />32 different jurisdictions while also providing supplemental services for other cities. He reported he <br />33 employs a master plumber who has been certified to complete plumbing plan review. He discussed <br />34 how offering this service was saving cities a great deal of time. <br />35 <br />36 Council Member Lindstrom asked how much of the plumbing plan review fees would come back <br />37 to the City.
