Mounds View City Council October 23, 2023 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br />under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and taking certain other actions with respect thereto for <br />the Central Towers Apartments Project. She reported the applicant would be requesting grants <br />from the State in 2024 and would come back to the City if they require the conduit debt financing. <br />She reiterated that the City would have no responsibility for the conduit debt. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn asked how much the City would be making off of the conduit revenue bond <br />issuance. Finance Director Bauman reported the City would receive $165,000 for administering <br />this bond issuance. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Lindstrom/Cermak. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9817, <br />Relating to the Issuance of Conduit Revenue Bonds to Finance the Costs of a Multifamily Rental <br />Housing Facility and Under Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 462C, as Amended; Granting Preliminary <br />Approval Thereto; Calling for a Public Hearing; Establishing Compliance with Certain <br />Reimbursement Regulations Under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as Amended; and Taking <br />Certain Other Actions with Respect Thereto (Central Towers Apartments Project). <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn reported she recently attended a Cable Commission meeting where the <br />group discussed the organization’s staffing model. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn indicated she attended the open house for the NYFS facility in White Bear <br />Lake. She stated NYFS was now aiming to begin helping kids ages 4 and up. <br /> <br />Council Member Lindstrom explained the Festival in the Park Committee would be meeting on <br />Tuesday, October 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Public Works Facility. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak reported she would be attending an Anoka County Fire Board meeting <br />on Thursday, October 26. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak indicated the Mounds View Police Foundation would be meeting next <br />on Tuesday, November 14. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak encouraged residents to bring their used coats to the Community Center <br />or City Hall for the coat drive. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Meehlhause stated he attended the NYFS open house in White Bear Lake as well. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Meehlhause thanked all of the members of the community who attended the school <br />board candidate forum that was held on Monday, October 16. <br /> <br /> B.
