Page 2 Summer Program Coordinator <br />• Performs administrative activities to support the program, including record and file maintenance, registration, <br />release forms, behavioral plans, and emergency forms. <br />• Maintains CACFP and Minnesota Department of Health Licensing for meals and snacks, if applicable. <br />Other Work Functions (Illustrative Only): <br />• Performs related work as required. <br />Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: <br />• First Aid certified or willing to become certified within 30 days of hire. <br />• Willing to work with people of diverse backgrounds. <br />• Able to work flexible schedules including day and evening hours. <br />• Knowledge of age -appropriate organized games, program, and activities for special events and school aged <br />programming. <br />• Knowledge of behavior management techniques <br />• Can establish and maintain effective working relationships with youth. <br />• Knowledge of youth athletics. <br />• Able to plan, implement, and evaluate a wide variety of recreational activities for youth. <br />• Can motivate participants and staff. <br />• Has the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision during program time. <br />• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. <br />• Has the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with youth. <br />• Able to demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills. <br />• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City staff and the public. <br />Persons with disabilities: the above is a general listing of job duties.
