Exhibit C <br />MOUNns Vi�v <br />JOB DESCRIPTION <br />Job Title: <br />Activity Specialist <br />Grade: <br />Seasonal <br />Supervisor Title: <br />Parks and Recreation Superintendent <br />Department: <br />Parks and Recreation <br />FLSA Status: <br />Non-Exempt/Seasonal <br />Date Reviewed: 2/7/2024 <br />Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience: <br />➢ Be at least 16 years of age. <br />➢ One (1) year of experience working with youth, especially in a recreational, educational, theatrical, or musical <br />setting. <br />➢ Have the desire to work with the public. <br />➢ Be available to work a part- time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. <br />Nature of Work: <br />This position is responsible to for implementing, developing, and creating activities and curriculum for the <br />Explore More Summer Camp program offered by our department. Activity Specialists support Lead and <br />Assistant Counselors by prepping daily activities and creating a fun and memorable camp environment and <br />experience. <br />Communicates with: <br />Internally — Parks and Recreation staff. <br />Externally —General public. <br />Supervision: <br />None <br />Essential Work Functions: <br />• Creates and develops activities and curriculum for camp including, but not limited to games, crafts, art, sports, music, <br />science, theater, and nature. <br />• Provides and administers activity descriptions, instructions, and resources for program counselors. <br />• Aligns program activities with child development levels and program age groups. <br />• Assists Summer Program Coordinator and Recreation Coordinator in development of weekly themes and activity <br />schedules. <br />• Provides guidance and role modeling for youth participants, and Leaders in Training. <br />• Organizes and/or participates in activities and special events for youth. <br />• Inspects program area daily for any safety precautions prior to youth arriving on site. <br />• Evaluates equipment or supplies used for activities, takes inventory, and make suggestions for purchasing as <br />necessary. <br />• Reports any lost or damaged equipment to supervisor. <br />Other Work Functions (Illustrative Only): <br />0 Performs related work as required. <br />
