MOUND 1EW Trailways System Master Plan— DRAFT 7C <br /> Priorities <br /> The following are identified as priorities based on needed completion of a key existing trailway routes per the Detail Plan <br /> section herein: <br /> • Mounds View BLVD — Gap: Unpaved section along the north side from Spring Lake Rd to Pleasant View Dr. Completion of <br /> this remaining stretch will fully link neighborhoods, civic sites, commercial sites and multiple senior and assisted living <br /> facilities within the and City. <br /> • Long Lake Road — Gaps: North end west from 93rd Ln to Groveland Rd has no controlled walk/bike features. Completion of <br /> this section provides a continuous south-to-north trail way on this route. <br /> • Co Rd H —Gap: No north side walkway from Silver Lake Rd to Edgewood Dr. This stretch supports access to Edgewood, <br /> Irondale and Sunnyside schools located on both sides of Co Rd H. The school district would need to initiate the grant <br /> applications to fund construction through the state or federal Safe Routes to School Programs. <br /> Grants & Funding- Safe Routes to School - MnDOT (state.mn.us) <br /> Safe Routes to School Programs I US Department of Transportation <br /> • Co Rd I - Gap: No on street striped biking lanes from Long Lake Rd to west end, requiring bikes to use sidewalks between <br /> Long Lake Rd and Silver Lake Rd. Sidewalk only on south side from Silver Lake Road to Long Lake Road crossing MV BLVD. <br /> This stretch supports access to Silver View Park, multiple senior and assisted living facilities and commercial sites <br /> Beyond these priorities, implementation, completion, repair and/or maintenance of trailways should be coordinated when <br /> possible with other City or County infrastructure projects. <br /> 8 <br />
