MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />LELS 204 — PATROL AND INVESTIGATORS <br />HOLIDAY PAY ARTICLE 24.4 <br />This memorandum of understanding is made between the City of Mounds View ("City") and the <br />Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc., Local #204 ("Union"). <br />WHEREAS, the City and Union are parties to a 2023-2025 collective bargaining agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, during the term of this agreement, a police officer working during the holidays of <br />Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and those who were not <br />regularly scheduled to work that day, will be compensated at a rate of two (2) times their base <br />wage. <br />WHEREAS, the City and Union wish to change the language in Article 24.4 and add Article 24.5 <br />to the collective bargaining agreement; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT BE RESOLVED THAT the parties agree Article 24.4 and 24.5 will read as <br />follows: <br />24.4 Police officers working during the holidays of Independence Day, Thanksgiving, <br />Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day will be compensated at a rate of two (2) times their <br />base wage. <br />24.5 Police Officers who were not regularly scheduled to work during the holidays of <br />Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, however were <br />required to start their shift early or work extra hours over those holidays, will be <br />compensated at a rate of two (2) times their base wage, with supervisor approval. <br />In witness whereof, the parties have executive this Memorandum of Understanding on the 11th <br />day of March, 2024. <br />LELS <br />YV v 03/12/2024 <br />Sean McKn"t, B siness Agent Date <br />��4 <br />3/94'y <br />Nate Garland, Union Steward Date <br />ovo <br />iley Solz, Unio teward Date <br />CITY ❑ MOUND <br />7 ,-1�1 <br />ch rindstrom, Mayor Date <br />Nyl 4ik�4oncl',- City Administrator Date <br />lRaa Ewald, HR Director Date <br />
