RESOLUTION NO. 9872 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING MIGRATION OF VIDEO FOOTAGE FROM THE PHYSICAL SERVER <br />TO THE CLOUD FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT VIDEO EVIDENCE LIBRARY <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed and approved the quotes from WatchGuard <br />(Motorola) on February 7th , 2024 concerning migrating our video storage from the <br />physical server to the cloud, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View and the Mounds View Police Department <br />determined this is the best value and fits the operational needs of the agency, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department maintains both body worn <br />camera and squad video footage, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department has planned and budgeted for <br />the replacement of the old server, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department Vista body worn cameras will <br />need to be replaced soon and the new cameras will be compatible with the Cloud; and; <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department is in immediate need to <br />replace the on -site WatchGuard server to transfer to the cloud, and; <br />WHEREAS, the video footage serves law enforcement and the public by <br />accurately documenting police encounters, preserving evidence, and increasing public <br />trust and transparency. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to authorize the migration of the remaining <br />video footage from the physical on -site WatchGuard server to the cloud for the Police <br />Department video evidence library at an approximate cost of $3,600.00 from account <br />480-4200-3030. <br />Adopted this 12th day of February 2024. <br />Zach Lindstrom, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
