Reserve Officer Unit <br />Annual Report — 2023 <br />During the year of 2023, Reserve Officers volunteered a total of four hundred and fifty- <br />five (455) hours. Reserve Officer Overton compiled three hundred and forty-three (343) <br />hours, working numerous events and helping Patrol Officers. <br />Reserve Officer Traczyk paved the way in reclaiming the coveted coat drive wooden <br />bat. Reserve Officer Traczyk volunteered over thirty (30) hours, placing donation boxes <br />and collecting coats on our way to one of the most successful coat drives for MVPD. <br />The Reserve Officer Unit consists of four (4) active Reserve Officers. One potential <br />Reserve candidate successfully completed her interview and background. The next <br />step in 2024 will be offering the candidate a Reserve Officer position. <br />Reserve Officers were very active in the Mounds View community during 2023, <br />assisting in thirty-three (33) community outreach events and providing twenty (20) <br />transports for Patrol Officers. <br />The Mounds View Police Department Reserve Unit is pivotal to Officers, as they take <br />lower level calls for service, free up Officers by taking transports, and maintain an <br />additional presence in the city during patrol shifts and at events. <br />1-800-SATRUC K (728-7825) <br />
