Item No: 5.H. <br />MOL-AMS <br />2024 <br />i T�Meeting Date: March A enda �/ Type of Business: Consent Agenda <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Rayla Ewald, Human Resource Director <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 9888, Approving a Memorandum of <br />Understanding between the City and LELS 204 Regarding <br />Neighborhood Resource Officer (NRO) Specialty Pay <br />Introduction: <br />Staff received a Memorandum of Understanding from the Business Agent (BA) for LELS 204 <br />(Police Officer and Investigators Union), requesting to designate 2.75% of wages to the <br />Neighborhood Resource Officer (NRO) while the assigned Police Officer is designated and <br />serving in the NRO capacity. <br />Discussion: <br />The HR Committee met to discuss the BAs request. They reviewed other employees classified or <br />assigned by the employer within the LELS 204 contract who receive additional wages for added <br />duties: Investigators, School Resource Officer, Violent Crimes Enforcement, Field Training <br />Officers, and Canine Handlers.
