RESOLUTION NO 9887 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING INTERNAL RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR PUBLIC WORKS <br />PARKS LEAD WORKER POSITION <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Parks Lead was promoted to another position <br />effective March 11, 2024; and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need to fill this full-time, non- <br />exempt position under the Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff would like to start the process of advertising for the Public Works <br />Parks Lead position at Grade 6 based on the following wages: <br />2024 - Grade 6 <br />4% <br />3.75% <br />3.75% <br />3.75% <br />3.5% <br />3.25% <br />3% <br />2.75% <br />Step 1 <br />Step 2 <br />Step 3 <br />Step 4 <br />Step 5 <br />Step 6 <br />Step 7 <br />Step 8 <br />Step 9 <br />$31.93 <br />$33.21 <br />$34.46 <br />$35.75 <br />$37.09 <br />$38.39 <br />$39.64 <br />$40.83 <br />$41.95 <br />; and <br />WHEREAS, the current Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit requires that all <br />permanent job vacancies be posted internally for five (5) working days so current <br />members of the bargaining unit can be considered for the vacancy before the job is <br />advertised to the general public; and <br />WHEREAS, only after the vacancy is posted for five (5) working days and no <br />response or qualified candidates are received will the vacancy be posted externally. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />authorizes Staff to advertise for the upcoming vacancy for the Public Works Parks Lead <br />position. <br />Adopted this 11T" day of March, 2024. <br />Zach Lindstrom, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
