Mounds View City Council April 22, 2024 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br />1 further and recommended the Council hold a public hearing and approve the request. <br />2 <br />3 Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 6:45 p.m. <br />4 <br />5 Jamie Rattanapamonsook, 7880 Groveland Road, thanked the Council for considering her request. <br />6 She stated she was excited to have the opportunity to keep chickens. <br />7 <br />8 Hearing no further public input, Mayor Lindstrom closed the public hearing at 6:46 p.m. <br />9 <br />1 o MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Clark. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9904, Approving <br />1 1 a Chicken -Keeping License for Jamie Rattanapamonsook, 7880 Groveland Road. <br />12 <br />13 Council Member Meehlhause discussed reasons for denying a chicken keeping license which <br />14 included having a lot that was too small or having a number of City Code violations. He stated <br />15 each of the applicants before the City Council at this meeting have properly sized lots and did not <br />16 have a history of City Code violations. <br />17 <br />18 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />19 <br />20 D. Resolution 9914, Approving the Evaluation of Storm Water Ponds Located on <br />21 Silver Lake Road and Woodcrest Drive (SC-2 P1 and SC-2 P2) by Stantec. <br />22 <br />23 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve the <br />24 evaluation of Storm Water Ponds located on Silver Lake Road and Woodcrest Drive. He explained <br />25 these two ponds were the next to be evaluated by Stantec. He reported Stantec would collect data, <br />26 complete public engagement, permits, upland vegetation management plan, design and <br />27 construction. He noted if dredging would be required, these plans would come to the City at a <br />28 future meeting. He commented further on the cost for the project and recommended approval. <br />29 <br />30 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Cermak. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9914, <br />31 Approving the Evaluation of Storm Water Ponds Located on Silver Lake Road and Woodcrest <br />32 Drive (SC-2 P1 and SC-2 P2) by Stantec. <br />33 <br />34 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />35 <br />36 E. Resolution 9911, Authorizing the Purchase of a F550 Service Truck and <br />37 Bucket Body Installation. <br />38 <br />39 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council authorize the <br />40 Purchase of a F550 Service Truck and Bucket Body Installation. He reported this truck would be <br />41 used by the street department. He discussed how purchasing from the State has become difficult <br />42 due to delays. He indicated staff had been looking for a used bucket truck, but had not found a cost <br />43 effective option. He explained staff received two bids for this purchase and recommended the <br />44 Council approve the purchase of a new cab and chassis with the reuse of the existing body and <br />45 bucket. <br />46 <br />
