MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br /> OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> • STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> November 20 , 1986 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 6: 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by <br /> Chairperson Wayne Burmeister at 6: 32 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Commissioners Silvis, <br /> Long, Wuori and Chairperson Burmeister. <br /> Commissioners absent: Commissioners <br /> Letendre, and Weflen. <br /> Councilmembers present: Councilmember Quick. <br /> Staff present: Acting Park and Recreation <br /> Director Saarion, Aquatics Supervisor <br /> Rechtzigel and Department Secretary Linke. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Long, <br /> seconded by Commissioner Silvis to approved <br /> the minutes as written. Motion passed <br /> unanimously: 4 ayes, 0 nayes . <br /> AIRPERSON' S REPORT Chairperson Burmeister stated that he enjoyed <br /> having the volunteer coaches present at the <br /> last Commission meeting and requested that <br /> the volunteer coaches are invited after each <br /> sports season. <br /> Chairperson Burmeister reported on the MRPA <br /> Park and Recreation Board meeting in Edina. <br /> Commissioner Wuori reported speaking with <br /> Commissioners from other cities regarding the <br /> involvement of the School District with the <br /> respective Park Boards and asked staff to <br /> explore the possibility of having a liaison <br /> from the School District at Park Commission <br /> meetings . Staff said that she would look <br /> into it, but because there are several cities <br /> in the School District, it may not be <br /> feasible. <br /> Chairperson Burmeister and the other <br /> Commissioners asked if the MRPA membership <br /> for the Commission was budgeted for in 1987 <br /> and staff said she would look into it . <br /> COUNCILMEMBER'S REPORT No Report <br />
