MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW • COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA May 22, 1986 Mounds View City Hall Council Chambers 6 : 30 p.m. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6: 35 p.m. by Chairperson Wayne Burmeister. ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Commissioner Letendre, Silvis , Long , Wuori , Weflen , Linnell and Chairperson Burmeister. Councilmembers present: Councilmember Quick and Mayor Linke Staff present : Parks and Recreation Director Anderson CHAIRPERSON 'S REPORT There was no Chaiperson ' s report. COUNCILMEMBERS REPORT Councilmember Quick stated that the City Council had voted unamimously to request a Spark dedication fee of $527 in addition to the land dedication from the Stanley Fisher sub-division. CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN Staff informed the Commission that the City Council was in the process of establishing goals and objectives for 1987. Staff distributed cost estimate sheets on each individual park and asked that each Commission member rank the projects in order of priority, and that they would be reviewing them at the June Commission meeting. He also stated that the Commission needs to review the long range capital improvement plan and reprioritize each of the projects. Commissioner Silvis made a motion to table action on the prioritization of the park projects until the June , 1986 meeting . The motion was seconded by Commissioner Weflen . The motion passed unanimously 7 ayes 0 nayes. REVIEW OF POSSIBLE Director Anderson stated that we had not PROJECT IDEAS FOR THE formally received the park dedication fees HERBST SUB-DIVISION from the Herbst Sub-division as of yet , but IIINDS we should be receiving it in the next two weeks. Currently, there is approximately $6 , 000 in the park dedication fund and with the addition of the Herbst money, the fund would total approximately $40 , 000.
