MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> • COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> May 22, 1986 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 6 : 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6: 35 p.m. <br /> by Chairperson Wayne Burmeister. <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Commissioner Letendre, <br /> Silvis , Long , Wuori , Weflen , Linnell and <br /> Chairperson Burmeister. <br /> Councilmembers present: Councilmember Quick <br /> and Mayor Linke <br /> Staff present : Parks and Recreation Director <br /> Anderson <br /> CHAIRPERSON 'S REPORT There was no Chaiperson ' s report. <br /> COUNCILMEMBERS REPORT Councilmember Quick stated that the City <br /> Council had voted unamimously to request a <br /> Spark dedication fee of $527 in addition to <br /> the land dedication from the Stanley Fisher <br /> sub-division. <br /> CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br /> PLAN Staff informed the Commission that the City <br /> Council was in the process of establishing <br /> goals and objectives for 1987. <br /> Staff distributed cost estimate sheets on <br /> each individual park and asked that each <br /> Commission member rank the projects in order <br /> of priority, and that they would be reviewing <br /> them at the June Commission meeting. He also <br /> stated that the Commission needs to review <br /> the long range capital improvement plan and <br /> reprioritize each of the projects. <br /> Commissioner Silvis made a motion to table <br /> action on the prioritization of the park <br /> projects until the June , 1986 meeting . The <br /> motion was seconded by Commissioner Weflen . <br /> The motion passed unanimously 7 ayes 0 nayes. <br /> REVIEW OF POSSIBLE Director Anderson stated that we had not <br /> PROJECT IDEAS FOR THE formally received the park dedication fees <br /> HERBST SUB-DIVISION from the Herbst Sub-division as of yet , but <br /> IIINDS we should be receiving it in the next two <br /> weeks. Currently, there is approximately <br /> $6 , 000 in the park dedication fund and with <br /> the addition of the Herbst money, the fund <br /> would total approximately $40 , 000. <br />
