MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> 4111 <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> July 24, 1986 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 7: 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 7: 50 p.m. <br /> by Chairperson Wayne Burmeister . <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Commissioners Wuori <br /> Letendre , Silvis and Chairperson Burmeister . <br /> Commissioners absent: Commissioners Linnell , <br /> Long, Weflen . <br /> Councilmembers present : Gary Quick. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis, <br /> seconded by Commissioner Letendre to approve <br /> the May 22 , 1986 minutes as submitted. <br /> Motion passed unanimously 4 ayes, 0 nayes. <br /> 4111 IAIRPERSON'S REPORT Chairperson Burmeister reported on the need <br /> for additional woodchips at Silver View Park <br /> and that he felt the "Arts in the Park" pro- <br /> gram was a success. <br /> COUNCILMEMBER'S REPORT No report <br /> REVIEW OF POSSIBLE Director Anderson reviewed the options for <br /> PROJECT IDEAS FOR THE the use of the $39 ,000 from the Herbst sub- <br /> HERBST SUB-DIVISION division. After a lengthy discussion, <br /> FUNDS a motion was made by Commissioner Wuori, <br /> seconded by Commissioner Silvis to dedicate <br /> two-thirds of all park dedication fees into a <br /> park fund until a balance of $500,000 is <br /> achieved, at which time , the interest will be <br /> used for park development. The motion <br /> passed unanimously, 4 ayes, 0 nayes. <br /> A second motion was made by Commissioner <br /> Wuori , seconded by Commissioner Letendre to <br /> use one-third of the park dedication fees <br /> from the Herbst sub-division to begin the <br /> soil correction for the Groveland Park tennis <br /> court construction based on City Council <br /> 1111 approval of the 1987 funding of the Groveland <br /> Park tennis courts. Motion passed unanimous- <br /> ly 4 ayes, 0 nayes. <br />
