MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br /> OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> 111/1 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> December 18, 1986 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 6: 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at. 6:35 p.m. by <br /> Chairperson Wayne Burmeister. <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Commissioners Silvis, Wuori , <br /> Long, and Chairperson Burmeister. <br /> Commissioners absent: Commissioners Weflen and <br /> Letendre. <br /> Councilmember present: Councilmember Quick. <br /> Staff present: Director Saarion, Administrative <br /> Assistant Linke and Forester Wriskey. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis, seconded <br /> by Commission Long to approve the minutes as <br /> presented. Motion passed unanimously; 4 ayes, 0 <br /> nayes. <br /> •INTRODUCTION OF RINK <br /> ATTENDANTS Director Saarion introduced the rink attendants to <br /> the Commission and gave a brief overview of the <br /> winter skating program. <br /> CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT None <br /> COUNCILMEMBER'S REPORT Councilmember Quick advised the Commission- that the <br /> Council liaison for 1987 to the Park and Recreation <br /> Commission would be Sue Hankner, with Gary Quick as <br /> the alternate. <br /> CITY FORESTER'S REPORT Forester Wriskey distributed a variety of <br /> information to the Commission including articles on <br /> Gypsey Moth quarantines and Dutch Elm disease. He <br /> then presented a slide show to the Commission on a <br /> variety of forestry issues and answered numerous <br /> questions following the presentation. <br /> REVIEW OF 5 YEAR CAPITAL <br /> IMRPOVEMENT PLAN FOR <br /> LAKESIDE PARK Staff stated that at this time, the Spring Lake Park <br /> Parks and Recreation Commission will go to the City <br /> Council in February to ask for additional funding <br /> for Lakeside Beach operations. <br /> 111/1 <br />
