1 <br />MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />January 25, 1990 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />Council Chambers <br />6:30 p.m. <br />CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. by <br />Chairperson Wayne Burmeister. <br />ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Burmeister, Silvis, Long, <br />Starr, Stevenson and Trettel. <br />Councilmember present: Quick. <br />Staff Present: Director Saarion. <br />Guest: Mr. Bill Frank, Roseville Parks and <br />Recreation Commissioner and member of the Ramsey <br />County Task Force on Parks, Trails and Open Space. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis and <br />seconded by Commissioner Starr to approve the <br />October 26, 1989 minutes as written. Motion passed <br />unanimously: 6 ayes, 0 nayes. <br />RAMSEY COUNTY PLAN <br />FOR PARKS, TRAILS <br />AND OPEN SPACE Mr. Bill Frank presented a slide presentation which <br />gave an overview of the process of the Ramsey <br />County Task Force on the Ramsey County Plan for <br />Parks, Trails, and Open Space. Mr. Frank presented <br />key points of the plan. He asked the Commission to <br />consider a recommendation to the City Council to <br />endorse the plan. <br />CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT Chairperson Burmeister reviewed the projects <br />completed at Lakeside Park and announced that little <br />action occurred since the autumn with the <br />anticipation that additional improvement activities <br />would resume in the spring. <br />
