2
The last activity was the removal of trees for the
enlargement of the softball field.
COUNCILMEMBER'S REPORT No Report
AGENDA ADDITIONS 1. Discussion regarding Park Dedication Fees
request for Phase III of Everest Development.
2. Celebrate MN ideas for a celebration of the
picnic shelter at Silver View.
3. Annual report review.
WETLAND ZONING
ORDINANCE A final draft of the Wetland Zoning Ordinance is
currently being written. The Commission decided to
wait and formally review that final draft.
Commissioner Silvis made a motion to endorse the
concept and content of the new Wetland Zoning
Ordinance, seconded by Commissioner Stevenson.
Motion passed: 6 ayes, 0 nayes.
SILVER VIEW PARK
POND STUDY The Commission quickly reviewed the
recommendations given by Environmental Specialties
for the management of Silver View Park Pond. The
recommendations from the Environmental Quality
Task Force were also reviewed.
The Commission was interested in a recommendation
to provide Commercial Lawn Service Companies a
fertilizer make-up which would be compatible to the
chemistry of the pond.
The Commission also wondered if the management
of the pond is a topic for consideration by the Silver
View Task Force. If so, the Commission perceives a
duplication unless the recommendations by the Task
Force follow review by the Parks and Recreation
Commission. It was requested that staff review the
resolution establishing the Silver View Park Task
Force to determine how the Parks and Recreation
Commission fits into the advisory process of park
planning.
