will schedule a 5:00 p.m. meeting with the Council, Task Force and Park and Recreation Commission to be held at an agenda session following the final Task Force meeting. Commissioner Trettel suggested that the master plan be submitted with a narrative stated that the plan is subject to change. GIFTS CATALOG Director Saarion reviewed a list of 25 items which the Commission had requested and asked for any additions or revisions. The Commissioners suggested the following changes: 1. Large B & B tree - $400.00 2. Bocce Ball set 3. Bingo set 4. Popcorn machine 5. Drinking fountain 6. Play structure - $10 - $16,000.00 A motion was made by Commissioner Starr, seconded by Commissioner Silvis to direct staff to revise the Gift Catalog and prepare for review by the Commission at the next meeting. Motion passed: 6 ayes, 0 nayes. OLD BUSINESS A. Transportation Vehicle Grant - Director Saarion reported that the portions of the grant have been submitted with no rejections to date. B. Greenfield Park Baseball Field - Councilmember Quick reported that the MVAA is actively pursuing funds for the improvements at Greenfield Park. To date they have a $500 donation from Kraus Hartig VFW. C. Ice Skating, Statistics - Director Saarion stated that new hours should be considered for the skating rinks for the 1990-91 season. It was suggested that because children start appearing at the rinks at 3:30 p.m., that the rink hours be changed to 3:30 - 8:30 p.m. Commissioner Stevenson requested that games and activities be available at rink houses for children. Discussion regarding cost of such a teen center type program and the issue of integrating skaters and activity participants ensued. Commissioner Starr suggested that rather than have programs at all the rinks, that a "pilot" program be tried at just one park for the next winter. 4
