Commissioners were encouraged to attend and <br /> support the TAG. It was suggested that the final <br /> proposal include a reference to the intersection III <br /> of Highway 10 / County Road H2 / and Old Highway <br /> 8. This intersection is scheduled for re- <br /> alignment in the future at which time a trailway <br /> plan can be incorporated. Staff will include this <br /> area in the final Trailways proposal. Also, the <br /> Commission requested that the trailway proposal <br /> include the trailways in the Greenfield and Silver <br /> View Parks and the easements at Pinewood School, <br /> Greenfield Park and Knoll Dr. Director Saarion <br /> will make sure that these are included in the <br /> proposal. <br /> FORESTRY <br /> JOINT POWERS <br /> AGREEMENT: Director Saarion informed the Commission that the <br /> City Council had approved the preparation of an <br /> amendment to the joint powers agreement with the <br /> City of New Brighton which would reduce the cost <br /> of the contractual services without a loss in <br /> service. <br /> SUMMER <br /> PROGRAM <br /> REVIEW: Director Saarion reviewed the activities offered • <br /> for the summer. A question was asked regarding <br /> the feedback from residents with the price <br /> increase for summer activities. Staff informed <br /> the Commission that the registrations for <br /> Butterflies Are Free program were very low due to <br /> the price increase. Also, the requests for <br /> scholarship assistance has increased. Discussion <br /> from the Commission resulted in a suggestion that <br /> the Commission attend the Work Session of the City <br /> Council on May 4 to express the Commissions <br /> priority of youth programming and keeping the <br /> prices as low as possible to enable equal <br /> opportunity for participation. The Commissioners <br /> planned to attend the meeting on May 4 . <br /> ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Silvis made a motion, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Long to adjourn the meeting. Motion <br /> passed, 6 ayes, 0 nayes. <br />
