MOUNDS VIEW PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> February 16, 1995 <br /> 6: 30 p.m. <br /> City Hall <br /> CALL TO <br /> ORDER: Chairperson Burmeister called the meeting to <br /> order. <br /> ROLL CALL: CommissionersP resent included Chair Burmeister, <br /> Commissioners Stevenson, Dentz, Long, Starr and <br /> Trettel. Commissioner Silvis was vacationing in <br /> California. Staff present included Public Works <br /> Director Ulrich and Parks and Recreation Director <br /> Saarion. <br /> MINUTES : Commissioner Stevenson made a motion seconded by <br /> • Commissioner Dentz to approve the January 19 , 1995 <br /> minutes. Minutes were approved unanimously. <br /> TRAILWAYS: Public Works Director Ulrich was invited to <br /> provide information regarding opportunities to <br /> mark city roads for on-street bikelanes. Ulrich <br /> indicated that the parking ordinance would need to <br /> be changed for no parking on bikelanes. One side <br /> of the street would need to be no parking and <br /> would require marking with both bike stencils and <br /> bikelane signs. The Commission indicated that <br /> they had a desire to begin this process and would <br /> suggest that Edgewood Dr. from County Road H to <br /> County Road H2 as a start. Ulrich indicated that <br /> this would be a good road to begin with. It was <br /> decided that the bikelane would be best suited for <br /> the west side of Edgewood Dr. because of parking <br /> needed for school and because the easement access <br /> is on the west side. Director Saarion was asked <br /> to discuss this with Police Chief Ramacher. More <br /> information was also asked for the March meeting <br /> including information about ordinance changes, the <br /> marking needs for the bikelanes and costs of the <br /> signs and any other necessary information. <br /> MVAA BLDG <br /> REQUEST: Staff reviewed the request of MVAA for a storage <br /> building for equipment and uniforms - to be placed <br /> on city property. Several properties were <br /> provided for consideration. Chair Burmeister <br /> questioned whether the Commission shouldn't first <br />
