New Business:No New Items
Commission Reports:
Pothen stated that the tarps on Greenfiled were off the pitchers
mound and batters boxes; laying off in the corner and ripped up still.
Dazenski stated that the trailway path at Greenfield Park that goes to
Oakwood Park would be ideal for blacktop; it has good soils.
Coughlin stated that he thought this was included in the Greenfield Park
Project and he'll look into it and report back to the cormnittee.
Dazenski stated that the accountability of those that are renting the rooms
at the Community Center has improved and he thanked Roepke for his
recent efforts. Roepke has incorporated verbiage into the rental agreement
handout explaining what is expected of the renter; no one can say they
"didn't know".
Coughlin asked Roepke if a staff member from the YMCA is now
attending the weekly staff meetings. Roepke said no and that he needed to
talk with the Administrator about this.
Pothen asked Roepke about the condition of the basketball floor and if
people were staying off it with their street shoes. Roepke stated that there
are marry floor mats and people are encouraged to wipe their feet
continuously. Roepke also stated that the kids using the facility are
bringing different shoes with them.
Long asked if the information brochures regarding the parks facilities are
being updated. Dazenski replied that administration is working on it
because he had received something earlier in the year asking for updates
and corrections to the old information.
Krueger asked Dazenski and Roepke if there had been any recent
vandalism to the Community Center. Both replied that there isn't anything
out of the ordinary; normal wear and tear.
Dazenski stated that the fence is done at Silverview Park. Commission
agreed that it is very much welcomed and that it looks nice.
Dazenski thanked Tracy Juell for getting the packet out as quickly as she
did. Coughlin thanked her also.
