Park and Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes <br />February 24, 2005 <br /> <br />Meeting Called to order: <br /> <br />1. Roll Call: <br />Present: Kroeger, Kunza, Long, Aukee <br />Absent: Silvis, Kunz <br />Staff Present: Lee, Dazenski, McIntyre <br /> <br /> <br />2. Swear in new member (Cindy Palm) <br />Cindy Palm was sworn in and joined the commissioners. <br /> <br />3. Approval of minutes from the January 27, 2005 meeting. <br />David Long’s name was listed under present and absent – remove it from present <br />Motion to approve: Kunza <br /> 2nd: Aukee <br />Motion passed unanimously <br /> <br />4. Unfinished Business: <br /> <br />Greenfield Park Play Equipment - <br />It is anticipated that the playground equipment will be delivered and installed in May of 2005. <br />The contractor, Minnesota/Wisconsin Playground, has submitted a Certificate of Compliance for all of the equipment purchased. <br />Seasonal employees will be available in May to assist in assembling the equipment. <br />There will be a dedication of the playground – perhaps at the June Parks and Recreation meeting. <br />Dedicate the playground then return to City Hall for the scheduled meeting. <br /> <br />Groveland Park Building Replacement. – <br />TKDA has completed a draft site plan. <br />Full submittal of plans is expected in late March. <br />The Commission reviewed the draft site plan <br />The orientation of the building was discussed <br />Steve Dazenski will stake the footprint of the proposed building then contact the Commissioners to review the orientation on the actual site. <br /> <br />Facility Guide Update – <br />Discussed delaying the printing of the Facility Guide until there is more information pertaining to the Groveland Building.
