Just Deeds <br />The City of Golden Valley started the Just Deeds Project in 2019 through its Human Rights <br />Commission. The City of Golden Valley commits to the mission of Just Deeds by educating <br />homeowners about the lasting impacts of racially restrictive covenants and connecting residents <br />to free services to discharge discriminatory covenants. The spirit of the Just Deeds mission <br />permeates the City's work through ongoing examination of City policies, practices and <br />regulations to eliminate inequality. <br />See attachments for more information on Just Deeds <br />Strategic Plan Strategy/Goal: <br />A progressive city that is welcoming and desirable destination to all ages and cultures, who <br />seek progress through partnership, and a place where residents can live, work and play safely <br />and show pride in the community. <br />Financial Impact: <br />$1,000 from Charitable Gambling Fund to support the work of the Mapping Prejudice Project. <br />Recommendation: <br />Adopt Resolutions & Ordinance separately. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Nyle Zikmund <br />City Administrator <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
