<br /> <br /> <br />Facility Guide Update – Sent to printers. 3,000 copies. <br /> <br />Rental Fee Structure – Continued discussions. A draft of the City’s fee schedule for 2007 was introduced to the City Council on November 6th. The City Council has a few question pertaining <br /> to park field and park building rental: <br />Is the fee for lighted field use (are we covering the cost of the electricity?) <br />Adding political/civic groups to the classification list <br />Should the rates for Class IV users be increased? <br />Why does it cost half as much to rent park buildings versus a park shelter? <br />Council also wanted to see a schedule of bookings for the year – A copy of the Field Usage Report and Monthly Calendars is included in the packet <br /> <br /> <br />6. New Business: <br /> <br />T-Mobile’s proposal to construct a building and antenna pole at Groveland Park <br />Kari Brown, representative for T-Mobile, was present at the November 6th Work Session. She presented a plan and answered questions pertaining to the proposal to construct a building <br /> along with a 100' pole that would have antennas mounted on it in Groveland Park. These plans are include in the packet. Please note that the plans indicate a 15’X20’ building (not 10’X12’). <br /> Kari Brown will be present at this Park and Recreation Commission Meeting. <br /> <br />Recycling Containers in Park Buildings – The recycling budget allows for placement of recycling containers within the park building. <br /> <br />Hillview Parking Lot – There is a proposal to reconstruct Hillview Road as part of the City’s next Street and Utility Improvement Project. With this project, there would be the potential <br /> to add parking along Hillview Road for Hillview Park. A draft plan sheet is in the packet. The cost of this parking area is estimated to be $28,150. Is this something the Commission <br /> wants to consider? <br /> <br />Any Other Items? <br /> <br /> <br />7. Commissioner/Staff Reports: <br />Random Park Building Status Report <br />At the end of last month, the City’s consultant developed a list of items that needed to be finalized to complete the contract for the Random Park Building Project. This list was included <br /> in a letter that was sent to the contractor. It is anticipated that the contractor will have the building substantially completed by the end of this week. <br /> <br />The Boy Scout that has volunteered to paint the interior may do this work this weekend. However, it is more probable that this work will occur over the upcoming holiday weekend. This <br /> Eagle Scout project has received approval from the Boy Scout Council. The individual doing the work was developed a materials list and estimated labor requirements. The City awarded <br /> a contract to install carpet and tile under a separate contract. The tile has been installed. The carpet will be installed as soon as the walls have been painted. <br /> <br />Random Park Building will be available for use at the end of this month.
