<br /> <br /> <br />Oakwood Park: 2008 Striping and Implementation Plan - The YMCA and Staff will present a plan for review and approval by the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission on how should <br /> Oakwood Park be utilized in 2008. <br /> <br />Neighborhood Park Meetings – discuss the concept of holding Neighborhood Park Meetings for selected parks each year. The intent would be to solicit more public input regarding the long <br /> term vision and plan for a particular neighborhood park. <br /> <br />Other New Business? <br /> <br /> <br />7. Commissioner/Staff Reports: <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Appointments – On December 10, 2007 the City Council appointed Jerry Kunz and Cindy Palm to another term on the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission. Attached <br /> is an updated Commissioner List. <br /> <br />Woodcrest Park – As directed by the Commission, and based on the guidance from City’s Forester, Rick Wriskey, Staff has removed some trees from around the two ponds closest to Woodcrest <br /> Drive. <br /> <br />Tree Preservation Ordinance - On December 10, 2007 the City Council approved Ordinance No. 785 establishing a Tree Preservation Ordinance. This version of the ordinance targets undeveloped <br /> areas and not existing residential property. Attached is a copy of this ordinance. <br /> <br />Park Sign Replacement Program Update – The Commission selected the style and colors for the park sign on August 23, 2007. Four signs have been ordered and delivered on November 16th. <br /> These are for: Silver View, Random, Hillview, and Groveland parks. <br /> <br />ALRC Biking Committee—Darren Peterson will be a representative for that committee <br /> <br />Lakeside Lions Park Playground Equipment Replacement Project – On November 26, 2007 the City Council approved the expenditure of funds from the Park Dedication Fund to help finance the <br /> Lakeside Lions Park Playground Equipment Replacement Project in an amount not to exceed $20,000. <br /> <br />Any Other Reports? <br /> <br /> <br />8.
