Parks& Recreation <br /> New Brighton <br /> New Brighton Neighborhood Center Use Agreement <br /> Please Sign and Return.Keep a copy for your records <br /> • Payment in full is required to guarantee a reservation made online.This includes the refundable <br /> security deposit. <br /> • If the reservation is canceled less than 14 days prior to the event, 50%of the rental fee will be <br /> retained. If cancelation is less than one week prior to the event, the entire rental fee will be <br /> retained. Refunds are not given for inclement weather. <br /> • There will be a refundable security deposit issued for all events. If the rented space is left in a <br /> condition that causes any financial burden to the New Brighton Parks and Recreation <br /> Department or if the rental time is not adhered to, New Brighton Parks and Recreation may <br /> retain the security deposit to alleviate said financial burdens. If no issues are found with the <br /> room after the rental and the rental time is adhered to,then the damage deposit will be <br /> returned to individual within 30 days after event. <br /> • Renter will be liable for any damage directly resulting in the renters(and guests) misuse of the <br /> space including but not limited to major carpet stains or broken equipment such as tables, <br /> chairs, windows,walls and doors.Additionally, a one-year probationary status will also be <br /> applied to the renters account from the rental date in which the situation occurred. During this <br /> probationary period you will be unable to rent any spaces from New Brighton Parks and <br /> Recreation. <br /> • You may only access the building during time stated on the contract.You may not go in the day <br /> before to set up unless you have rented the building the day before. Entering the building before <br /> a rental groups contracted time or staying past contracted time will result in the group's deposit <br /> being retained. <br /> • The facility does not have staff on hand. There is a phone number on the checklist, however,the <br /> staff person is not on duty and may not be easily accessible. On holiday reservations,staff will <br /> not be accessible. <br /> • Facility Rental does not include use of the picnic pavilions(unless a reservation has been made). <br /> Reservations for a picnic pavilion may also be made online. <br /> • The building does not have kitchen facilities.There are outlets for heating items. Cooking is not <br /> allowed in the building.The mechanical room is not intended as a food preparation or storage <br /> area. <br /> • The rental party will pick up a key at the New Brighton Community Center for access to the <br /> building.The key may be picked up and returned within 48 hours of the event. <br /> • The security deposit will be retained if the Neighborhood Center key is not returned. <br /> • Decorations, banners, or signs may not be pinned, or otherwise affixed to the walls, ceiling or <br /> windows except with the use of masking/painters tape. No cellophane tape should be used.All <br /> tape must be removed. Confetti or glitter is not allowed Balloons must be secured by weights,to <br /> avoid escaping to the ceiling.A portion or all of the deposit may be retained if decorations are <br /> not removed. <br />
