However, if a facility is rented, smoking and vaping is <br /> allowed under the neighborhood center overhang or under the pavilion. Please notify your <br /> guests about the smoking policy. <br /> • Parking is allowed in parking lots only. No vehicles are allowed on the grass, sidewalks, paths, <br /> etc. <br /> • Cleanup responsibilities are listed on a checklist you will get with the key.Tables should be <br /> cleared and washed,trash consolidated into the trash receptacles,floors vacuumed. Cleaning <br /> supplies are under the sink and a vacuum cleaner is in the mechanical room. If food items such <br /> as cake and frosting are dropped on the carpeting, clean them up immediately to avoid further <br /> issue.A portion or all of the deposit may be retained if this results in the carpets needing to be <br /> cleaned. <br /> • Rental groups are responsible for littered trash outside on the grounds of the building during <br /> contracted rental times. If the grounds are left littered or trash pouring out of cans,a portion of <br /> your deposit may be retained. <br /> • The deposit may be retained if police are called to the premises due to excessive noise. Music <br /> must be contained to the facility being rented and should not be at a level that would disturb <br /> neighbors, park users, or general public. <br /> • Before leaving,the group is responsible to make sure the building is secure. Lock all doors and <br /> windows, and exterior bathroom doors. Do not leave the building left unattended when it is <br /> unlocked.The contract holder will be held responsible for any damage resulting from the <br /> building being left unattended. <br /> • New Brighton Parks and Recreation is not liable for items brought into or left overnight in the <br /> facility(i.e. meeting supplies,AV equipment, or decorations). <br /> • The renter shall be solely responsible for supervising the conduct of the members of its group. <br /> Alcohol Policy: <br /> • A permit must be obtained through the Park&Recreation Dept.to serve alcoholic beverages. <br /> An additional fee will be assessed for the permit. <br /> • Drinks are limited to beer,wine,wine coolers and champagne;Alcohol may not be brought in by <br /> guests. <br /> • Persons under 21 years of age may not consume alcoholic beverages. <br /> • The sale of alcohol is not allowed. <br /> • Alcohol must remain inside the building or under the pavilion. <br /> • If an Alcohol Permit is purchased by the renter they must purchase liability insurance (often <br /> referred to as Special Event insurance)to serve alcohol at the rental location on the event rental <br /> date. Please email the insurance document to <br /> • A paper copy of liability insurance must be presented to staff when picking up the rental key.
