RESOLUTION NO. 9842 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HIRE OF LEON WANNA TO THE <br /> PART-TIME CUSTODIAN POSITION <br /> WHEREAS, the Part-Time Custodian position was authorized for recruitment by motion <br /> during the October 9, 2023 Council meeting; <br /> WHEREAS, candidate Leon Wanna, having multiple years' experience performing <br /> custodial duties for both private and public employers; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Wanna successfully completed background and reference checks; and <br /> WHEREAS, if approved for hire, Mr. Wanna would start at Step 1 of the Grade 2 pay scale <br /> of the 2024 pay plan, with an increase to Step 2 on his six-month anniversary subject to a six- <br /> month probationary period; and <br /> 2024 Custodian Hourly Wage Schedule: Grade 2 <br /> Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Step 6 Step 7 Step 8 Step 9 <br /> $20.13 $20.93 $21.71 $22.53 $23.37 $24.19 $24.98 $25.73 1 $26.44 <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Wanna is available to begin employment on January 2, 2024, reporting <br /> to Parks and Recreation Superintendent Thomas. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does hereby: <br /> • Appoint Leon Wanna to the position of Part-Time Custodian <br /> • Starting date will be on or around January 2, 2024 <br /> • Starting wage at Step 1 of the 2024 Pay Plan ($20.13/hour) <br /> • Mr. Wanna will be subject to a six-month probationary period <br /> • Mr. Wanna will advance to Step 2 on his six-month anniversary, subject to a satisfactory <br /> performance evaluation <br /> • Mr. Wanna will advance to Step 3 on his one-year anniversary <br /> • Mr. Wanna will report directly to the Parks and Recreation Superintendent <br /> Adopted this 11t" day of December, 2023. <br /> Zach Lindstrom, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
