He commented further <br /> 2 on the data that had to be collected in order for the City to apply for grants. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Brian Amundsen, 3048 Woodale Drive, recognized this project was about Ardan Park, but asked <br /> 5 when neighborhood stormwater features would be addressed. He stated he recently saw public <br /> 6 works working on the pond in his neighborhood. He suggested the City pursue additional grants <br /> 7 in order to address these storm water ponds. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson explained the inlets were recently cleared <br /> 10 by the City to ensure water can get into the infiltration features. He stated he had spoken with Rice <br /> 11 Creek Watershed to see if there were other grants available for this work. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Dr. Strait asked what the total cost of this project would be. She questioned how much grant <br /> 14 funding the City had applied for. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 City Administrator Zikmund stated this would remain unknown until the bids come back to the <br /> 17 City. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson explained the City had applied for a <br /> 18 grant with BWSR in the amount of$230,000. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Ms. Kirscher inquired how much the City would spend to dispose of the sediments. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Council Member Gunn explained the City would not have this information until the dredging was <br /> 23 complete. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson reported he has an engineer's estimate for <br /> 26 this work, but noted the final costs would not be known until the project was bid. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Jim Wilson, 7025 Pleasant View Drive, stated the engineer could come up with an estimate and <br /> 29 contractors could put in a bid, but noted the cost for the disposal of this material would not be <br /> 30 known until the material is tested after the dredging is completed. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 7. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Mayor Lindstrom encouraged the public to speak with kindness and respect when addressing the <br /> 35 City Council during Public Comment. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Vince Meyer, 8380 Spring Lake Road, explained there was a sign posted at 851h and Spring Lake <br /> 38 Road shutting his road down. He indicated the school buses cannot get around this sign. He <br /> 39 requested this sign be removed by the City. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Cindy Clark, 8180 Spring Lake Road, stated signs were posted at County Road J and Highway 10 <br /> 42 that says Spring Lake Road will be closed to through traffic. She questioned if additional work <br /> 43 would be done on the roadway. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 City Administrator Zikmund commented this was not a City project,but rather was an Xcel Energy <br /> 46 utility project. <br />
