<br />ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO WINBERG COMPANIES LLC FOR THE
<br />ARDAN PARK POND PROJECT
<br />WHEREAS, the City has the responsibility to efficiently operate the storm water
<br />system; and
<br />WHEREAS, City Council additionally approved Resolution 9544 to have Stantec
<br />Engineering Services complete an overall Storm Water Pond assessment with a final report
<br />providing a list of ponds, features, and maintenance needs, including a Capital Improvement Plan
<br />(CIP); and
<br />WHEREAS, City Council approved Resolution 9783 and 9784 authorizing Stantec to
<br />complete the assessments on Ardan Park, AA-1.P1 and AA-1-.P2, Storm Water Ponds.
<br />Neighborhood meetings were held to receive feedback on concerns of the draft plans; and
<br />WHEREAS, The City Council further approved Resolution 9989 on September 23, 2024,
<br />approving the plans, specifications and Authorized bidding for the Ardan Park storm water pond
<br />dredging and upland vegetation management project; and
<br />WHEREAS, Stantec has completed the plans and specifications for both Ardan Park Storm
<br />Water Pond and Upland Vegetation management Plan, Stantec placed the plans and
<br />specifications on Quest CDN for Public bidding. The City received eleven (11) bids for the project
<br />and held a public bid opening on October 16th, 2024, at 9:15; and
<br />WHEREAS, Below are the bids received and accepted, all included an alternate to install a
<br />gravel walking trail around both storm water ponds

<br />WHEREAS, Stantec has reviewed the bids and found these to be in order and is
<br />recommending the City Council approve the bid and award the contract to Winberg Companies
<br />LLC; and
<br />WHEREAS, Stantec has provided a technical services proposal not to exceed $19,400.00
<br />as Stantec will be used on a limited basis, with City Staff performing the day-to-day project
<br />oversight; and
